Build the Ballet

For many years we have dreamed of a larger space for our dancers and out programs. Now there are plans for a new state-of-the-art, 12,000 square foot facility on Church Street Campus that will expand the dance training possibilities for both children and adults as well as offering greater exposure and involvement for the entire community.Build the Ballet is the name of our capital campaign to raise funds to build our dream of a new facility.

Here are just a few of the goals and highlights of this dream for you to get excited about!

1. Four wonderful studios, all with sprung floors covered with Marley, high ceilings, windows and mirrored walls.  Just imagine how wonderful this will be for scheduling not only regular classes, but Nutcracker rehearsals and Summer Programs as well!

The Premiere Studio-an awesome 50X60 ft space for company classes and rehearsals.  Tiered seating at one end will accommodate a small audience for informal performances and will accommodate upper level ballet, modern and jazz classes plus additional rehearsals.

The Young Dancer's Studio - a great space proportioned especially for young ballet students; this studio will also be used for a quiet serene space for Pilates, yoga, stretching and conditioning classes.

The Children's Studio -a bright, lively and colorful space especially for creative movement classes. The flooring in this studio will also be appropriate for tap and other dance classes that require a harder shoe.

The Loft – an informal studio on the second floor of the building, perfect for yoga, pilates, conditioning and smaller size classes.

2.     A drive thru! Our young dancers can be let out & picked up during inclement weather.

3.     A spacious lobby!  A wireless hot spot with ample seating where parents and students can work and study.

4.     Dressing rooms and lots of individual restrooms.

5.     A juice/coffee bar!  Enjoy a coffee, water, energy drinks and nutritious snacks!  Catch up with the news on the flat screen TV!

6.     The Patio- opening off the lobby, the landscaped brick patio will feature a center fountain and outdoor seating for nice days and evenings!

7.     A library filled with books, periodicals and videos that can be shown on a large screen to share with our dance family.

8.     Bordering Robinson Park, family members can walk or jog and take advantage of the park.

9.     Office Space

10.    A costume room and storage space for props and drops
